PN occupies 12 packets of white powder presumed to be cocaine off Azua-Bani













Police personnel, put in Azua, arrested yesterday at a checkpoint to a man who took 12 packages of a white powder that is presumed to be cocaine.

This is Matthew Lima Puello, who was arrested inside a passenger bus in which she was traveling. The bus that was traveling in the Toyota is now prevented, white, 2013, Y061438 plate. It was commandeered off Azua-Bani.

The preliminary report indicates that Puello Lima carrying a cardboard box inside which 12 alleged drug packages, camouflaged among bananas and peppers were found.
When questioned by police officers admitted that he had traveled to Azua from Bavaro, La Altagracia, in search of that drug.

He said the 12 packages of white powder was handed a man who identified himself as "Geraldo Francisco" who allegedly deposited a million pesos, after reaching their destination.

Police said the detainee will be made available to justice, via the Public Prosecutor, who is known for coercive measures.

He also maintained that the investigations are extended to locate and arrest others who might be involved in this case.
