EFE.- Children and adolescents suffer a disproportionate inequality with respect to adults, the main indicators of human development.
These indicators include access to health, education, good nutrition, protection and basic services like water and sanitation, according to a report released by UNICEF to mark International Children's Day which measures the progress we have achieved children on human development in the last twenty years. Also, the study proves that children were targeted victims of inequality.
According to data collected and analyzed by the experts of the UN agency, current rates of progress are inadequate to end in 2030 to the inequality gaps that affect children.
The international community has recently set new development goals by 2030, which include eradicating hunger and reducing social inequalities.
According to Unicef, the current trend indicates that population growth in regions that have shown the worst results, the number of children out of school in 2030 will be the same now.
"The evidence shows that the increased inequality in key areas such as education can increase the risk of conflict," says the report entitled For every child a chance.
